About the evaluation

The process includes a 90-minute clinical interview, one in-person testing session (typically about four hours), and a feedback appointment where we review the results and recommendations together. The written report is delivered within two weeks of your final testing appointment.

Not currently. This practice evaluates adults ages 18 and older. All evaluations, recommendations, and reports are designed specifically for adults.

The interview and feedback appointments are virtual; the testing itself is completed in person.

That’s one of the main reasons for the consultation. We’ll discuss what’s bringing you in, the questions you’re hoping to answer, and determine whether testing is the right next step and what type of evaluation best fits your needs.

Results & documentation

That’s valuable information too. The purpose of testing isn’t to confirm a diagnosis. It’s to better understand what’s contributing to the difficulties you’re experiencing. Sometimes the evaluation supports the diagnosis you expected, and sometimes it points in a different direction. Either way, I will provide you with clear guidance and practical recommendations.

The report is written to include the information commonly required by medical providers, disability services offices, and testing agencies. However, decisions regarding medication, accommodations, and eligibility are always made by the organization reviewing the documentation, and no evaluator can guarantee a particular outcome.

No. An evaluation can provide the documentation often required by schools, testing agencies, and healthcare providers, but decisions are always made by the organization reviewing the documentation, and no evaluator can guarantee a particular outcome.

Therapy focuses on treatment and personal growth. Psychological testing is designed to answer specific questions through a structured evaluation process. Depending on the referral question, testing may help clarify diagnoses, identify learning differences, document the need for accommodations, or guide treatment recommendations.
